SUMMARY

Loid and his new family are ready for the test. They head to Eden Academy, but as soon as they enter the school grounds, both Loid and Yor sense that they are being watched. Loid quickly discovers that the instructors are watching them and the exam has already begun and instructs Yor and Anya to do the right thing.

Instructors fail and pass people based on their elegance. Housemaster Henry Henderson is disappointed with this year's candidates as all the families lack real elegance. However, he notices that the Forgers have stopped to pay their respects to the statue of the school's founder, and finds it very elegant. The instructors inform him that the K-212 family are Counterfeiters, and Anya barely passed the exam with 31 points, which Henry doesn't find elegant at all. Noticing that Loid has remarried, the instructor asks if they're an impromptu family for admission purposes, but Henry isn't sure and wants to investigate.

The counterfeiters and other families who passed are sent to hall 1, while the failures go to hall 2. On the way, they see a chubby student who has fallen into the gutter and asks for help to get out. Realizing that this is an obvious test, Loid decides to deal with the situation. He gives Anya a signal and she says she has to help the boy. The boy is beating around the bush to do it for special merit as Henry watches over them, saying that no one going to the interview would dare soil their clothes. However, Loid steps into the sewers and pulls the boy out, soiling his and Anya's clothes. Henry is shocked and disappointed and tells the instructors to fail them. However, he is shocked to see that the Forgers had anticipated something like this and prepared a disguise just in case. As Loid and Yor like the new clothes better, Loid thanks the boy for giving him a reason to change, causing Henry to be moved by how cool and elegant it was. The instructors say they should test the kid, but Henry says kids learn from their parents, so they have to reveal that Loid is also worth 30 points.

Suddenly an alarm goes off and someone shouts that the animals have escaped from the farm and are running wild. Henry wonders who gave them the order to go that far, but the instructors say it was him, and Henry realizes that this is a real incident. He commands the instructors to help people because some of them are important individuals. As they run away from the animals, the parent accidentally abandons their child and Loid rescues him, but destroys his clothes. Loid notices the lead cow, but before he can do anything, Yor attacks the cow, hitting its pressure points and immobilizing it, which stops the entire herd, much to the shock of Loid and Anya. Anya reads the cow's mind and goes to pet it, telling it not to worry. The cow and the other animals calm down and return to the farm. Henry can't believe the elegance and runs outside to meet the Forgers. He thanks them for averting the crisis and admits that they beat him today. Believing that the Counterfeiters deserve to be interviewed, he announces that he will postpone the interview, giving the family time to sort things out. However, Loid says they assumed something like this might happen and brought another change of clothes, which startled the man.

As the Forgers wait for their interview, Loid listens through the previously placed listening device to hear the conversations, feeling nervous like never before. The counterfeiters are called to their turn, and Dormitory 5 Warden Walter Evans decides to ask the first question, asking Loid and Yora about each other. Loid retells how they got married and Yor says what a wonderful person he is. Dormitory 2 Housemaster Murdoch Swan asks Yor why a beautiful girl like her would marry someone with baggage, but Henry says it was rude. Loid recalls that Murdoch was an arrogant and greedy man who had recently divorced and lost custody of his daughter. All of his previous interview questions to other applicants indicated that he was jealous of other families and took out his frustrations on them. Walter asks why they chose this school and Loid explains that there is no one better than Eden. Walter asks how they describe Anya, and Loid explains that she's a curious child, but intelligent, and sometimes he feels like she saw through him, but she's also picky. Walter questions Yor about her parenting style. Yor says that since she is not her biological mother, she spoiled Anya at first, but hopes that she will be stricter because of Anya. Walter then asks what kind of food he cooks, Loid says he cooks but when he's busy he cooks Yor. Murdoch is disappointed to hear this and says that Yor should be harder on herself first. Loid quickly defends Yor and almost gets into an argument with Murdoc, which Yor stops. In his mind, Murdoch can't stand beautiful couples and is determined to make sure they fail.

Walter decides to follow up with Anya and asks for her name and address and what she does on her days off. He then asks her what she plans to do when she starts this school. Anya forgets what she was supposed to say, and when she hears Lloyd's thoughts, she says she wants to find out what the "head of the organization" is up to. Walter wonders if she meant the Headmaster, and Loid confirms it, which impresses Henry as he thinks she wants to learn from their predecessors. Henry asks Anya for the Headmaster's name and when he reads Lloyd's mind, he manages to tell her. Henry then wonders how hard she has to work to succeed like him. Anya then thinks of her spy cartoon and brings up the main character's training, walking through the jungle without supplies and dancing with death over and over again to gain courage. Henry finds this to be incredible determination and begins to think he has underestimated her.

Walter asks Anya what her father does, and Anya almost claims he's a spy, correcting herself by saying she's a spy. Walter wonders what he thinks of Yor, and Anya discovers that she is very nice, but sometimes scary. Walter then asks her to give her parents a score, and Anya gives a perfect 100 because it's fun and she wants to stay with them forever. Murdoch gets angry and asks her to compare Yor to her first mother. Anya starts crying and Murdoch states that the school doesn't need a kid crying over little things and making Yor angry. Loid calms Yor down, but when Murdoch mocks Yor, Loid loses control and tries to punch him. Instead, however, he slams the table and breaks it. Loid apologizes saying there was a mosquito and prepares to leave. Loid says that if part of Eden's education is to belittle a child's feelings, he picked the wrong school for Anya. Murdoch gets angry at Lloyd for embarrassing the school and starts yelling as the Forgers leave. Henry tells him to stop, but Murdoch threatens him to be careful as his father still has influence in the school. Remembering Lloyd's words of praise for the instructors, Henry asks Murdoch who really dishonored the school and punches him out.

At home, Loid feels that he has once again failed as a spy, letting his feelings get in the way of his mission. Anya apologizes for failing, but Loid tells her that there is no need for an apology. Anya, knowing that not joining the school will break up the "family", declares that she wants to go to school. Anya and Yor believe that Walter and Henry are good people and will vouch for them. Loid decides to trust them a little and they toast to a bright future for their family. However, they are interrupted by their family photo, which suddenly falls, signifying a bad omen.
